Our new defensive coordinator's contract calls for a base salary of $454,000 while the O-coordinator gets $300K, same as RB coach Ayeni.
Those are some pretty hefty assistant coaches salaries for lil ole ISU. That's over $1 million just for three assistant coaches. Remember when ole 5-19 was promised a pool of $1.5 mill to hire assistants, which was a significant bump for us at the time? This new pool has to be approaching $2.5 mill or more. Looks like maybe they're finally getting serious about providing the resources (beyond facilities) needed for a football program to succeed.
This is not a complaint, just an observation.
