Recently listened to a "sports" station down here in JAX. The talking heads were discussing the UF Gators and the angst of the fans at the "patsies" on their schedule. This year it's North Texas and UMass. Point being no one gets excited about such and the fans won't "show up" (doubt that). Anyway, they opined as to getting patsies from bigger name conferences. And... you guessed it... our beloved CYCLONES were the only Big 12 team they mentioned. KU better??? Maybe they're just that ignorant of the current state of the conference. Would love to see CMC get us geared up and face these guys in a bowl game in the not to distant future. I'd suggest a home/home but we play in the Big freaking 12. Beyond tough enough. Schedule as many non-con wins as possible.
Maybe its because I've been living here a while but the SEC arrogance, at least around here, doesn't seem to be as bad as that of the big tin from my days in God's country. 20 million people +/- and several pro teams perhaps dilutes. Interestingly, at least here in NE FL the UF/GA rivalry ("World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party") seems to be as big or bigger than that with FSU.
I look forward to the day when the Clones come to FL and kick someone. Some of these folks need an education
