So first off, I thought that the uniforms were great. I wouldn't have thought that white/white/grey would work, but it did. The charcoal grey facemasks really helped. Like I said in other threads, get some yellow helmets and some charcoal matte helmets and you have a great selection to mix and match with...especially with the different facemask colors I do think that need to experiment some with different helmet decals. The stencil I-State, the 80's tornado, maybe even the walking Cy. We don't have an iconic logo. Might as well make it fun and interesting and join the 2010's. I feel like the I-State logo is as recognized as it's going to get.

Second, I thought that the announcers were horrible and I'm always surprised at the lack of fan support at OSU for a pretty good team. They really need noisemakers? Some of these fanbases don't deserve the success they have.

For the team, I thought that unlike the last game, it wasn't a total defensive collapse. The D battled. They lost their share, but at least played well in spurts. Without KCM, that's probably more than we could have expected. The DL played well at times. LBs were OK, with Mills playing pretty good. Washington made our supposedly pretty good DBs look bad. Seeley was horrible again. I wish that we had the bye week this weekend just to heal some guys up.

Special teams I thought Ryen made some bad decisions on whether to fair catch or not. Netten and Francis did well. Nwangwu was not good...just running into the pile.

On offense, obviously they did pretty well through three quarters. 4th quarter collapse had more to do with the offense this week (not that they helped matters last week). I really don't know why when we have a lead, Manning goes away from Mike Warren. He puts the entire game on Lannings shoulders (running and passing) and it is obvious that Lanning can't handle it I think that the OC needs to learn a lesson here. Lazard had the drops. Epps fumble was enough to make a weak minded team crumble even with a lead. The OL did well enough by our standards, but the QBs were sacked 7 times, so it's not like they were good.

Overall, I thought that the team was better than last week. It's frustrating that it wasn't enough to win. We're getting there though. If Campbell can keep the team from checking out, we are going to see at least a few more wins.
