It’s interesting to get out the Crystal ball sometimes. I think the big conferences combined with streaming may kill the golden goose. Passionate fans may sign up for Paramount plus for Big 10 games and the Big 10 network stream, but the casual fan won’t. Same for Big 12 fans and ESPN Plus (where a lot of our games will be) And Pac fans with Apple plus. I personally won’t sign up for services other than Iowa State games just to watch Iowa hopefully lose. So where this all goes? Shrinking audience in general and that means less money. At the end of the day it’s not about market size or what conferences a team is in, it’s how many watch and is it the right demographic for advertisers to sell their wares to. Others thoughts?
