I am posting this in a separate thread because, hopefully, it helps someone else. Thanks for the responses to my earlier thread on this subject.
I have not previously paid the additional $13.95 a month for the Fox Sports "sports pak" which you must subscribed to in order to have access to the 600 level channels on DirecTV. That is where the Cyclones game is being distributed tomorrow.
I called DirecTV and asked if there was any option to just pay to turn on the MSG Network (635) for the game. I was told that wasn't an option but since I had been a long time customer, they would turn on the "sports pak" free for 3 months, which includes all the 600 level sports channels. At the end of the 3 months I can cancel the the "sports pak" and no cost incurred. They also turned on the HBO package for 3 months with the same offer.
So, there is an opportunity to watch the game tomorrow on DirecTV even if you are not currently a subscriber to the "sports pak". I'm not opposed to buying the "sports pak" but I am only interested in the Cyclones games. Between the Big 12 package and Cyclone.tv it is rare not to see almost every game for football and basketball. And, it's one less Cyclone expenditure I have to explain to my wife! Hope this helps some else.
