I've been able to confirm via text message that Iowa State hosted Hoschton (Ga.) Mill Creek outside linebacker Sidney Otiwu on an official visit this past weekend. The 5-foot-11, 205-pound senior prep was on campus along with Floridian Kee Whetzel.
Otiwu is a Maurice Linguist recruit in an area the Cyclones are hitting much harder in recent years. I'm sure this was kind of an under-the-radar type of recruit, given his heavy offer list from non-P5 schools and P5 programs like NC State and Utah sitting out there as having interest.
Otiwu wants to wait until tomorrow night for an interview, so I'll have more details on his Iowa State recruitment in the next day or two.
