FOOTBALL RECRUITING: JUCO OL Announces ISU Verbal

Roseville (CA) Sierra CC offensive tackle Derrick Achayo has announced via his Twitter page that he has committed to the Cyclones. Achayo was recruited by Todd Sturdy and evaluated in-person by Lou Ayeni during a game in late-September and was offered by Iowa State shortly thereafter. The 6-foot-4, 280-pound Achayo, who will be a December grad and eligible to participate in spring ball, said he will play either guard or tackle. I'll have a story posted on him in a bit.
