I basically believe that the difference between our last two seasons and the previous 4 seasons is not as great as many seem to believe.
First, at best, we were average the first four years of the Paul Rhoads era. Not poor and not good. Secondly, in both of the last two years we have had numerous times where either we snatched defeat from the jaws of victory or allowed ourselves to be victims of questionable calls (or were victims of questionable calls.) So we were not really that far from being average those two years.
However, our other defeats were just plain walkovers. That was in contrast to the first 4 years when those kind of drubbings were rare. So I propose two questions:
Do both, and get lucky with health, and we might be a little better.
Only raw talent influx gets us much higher - and while I think we had some, we surely did not have the kind of raw talent influx to go much higher.

- How much improvement do we need to have an average record (defined as 6 regular season wins)?
- How much improvement do we need to get to average and be competitive in most of the rest?
Do both, and get lucky with health, and we might be a little better.
