The more I think about it, this is going to be a large class. Last year I count 28 recruits counting Akers, but the prior year was just 19 that showed up. SO, I'm guessing we can count Akers, Noland, Fernandez and Green against 2015. That means that this class could be 25-26 no problem assuming they stay under the 85. Right now, we're at 19, so I'm going to guess that there's 7 more to commit (assuming no decommits...which is unlikely). Here's how I see it:
QB: 0
RB: 0 - I think that they passed on a couple of guys that were decent. They may keep in contact with some just in case there's some attrition.
WR: 1 - Seems like they still want to get a slot/M guy. They may still be in on Kahlee Hamler, but Jaylen Dixon is supposed to visit in the next few weeks (I think it's him and not KD Nixon?). I'd gladly take either one of those, but if they miss out on them, I would guess they skip signing another WR.
TE: 1 - Nagel has the offer. He could be a greyshirt I guess. We'll see what happens after his visit.
OL: 1-2 - I think that they take Chandler or Munford if they can get them. But, I think that the bigger need is a JUCO like Besseck who can up the competition right away.
DE: 0 - Seems like they have this covered. You don't see ISU's name with any JUCOs, even though they lose Luna, Thomas and Meyers. It looks like they got the guys they wanted.
DT: 1 - I think that Rodriguez is a DT, but you probably still want one more to keep the pipeline full. They did a great job getting two good JUCOs. Now sign someone like Crawford or even find the best DT/NG commit on UNI or NDSU's list.
LB: 1 - Seems like they are high on Moore and Ward, but I would just go after Robinson, who is visiting. He's a nice player and brings something different than Hummel or Vance.
CB: 1 - Keisean Nixon can replace what Octavious Morgan would have brought. He's visiting for SJSU. They might have to keep some HS targets on the line in case Hafiz decommits.
S: 1 - I think that it's Keonte Jones or nothing.
K: 0 - Gonna have to roll the dice on this position.
That's 7-8 guys depending on the OLs and any greyshirts. Obviously, this class right now is more about hanging on to who they have than who is left to commit. But I think that the class has a great chance to be ISU's best maybe ever.
