Except for the game I had a great time in Lubbock. Fans were very nice. Made many new friends walking through the tailgate area. On the way back yesterday while eating lunch at Chili's On The Go at DFW an older Texas gentleman was at the table beside me. I had an ISU polo on. He asks if I went to the game? I told him I did. He said he played at Tech and a little in the NFL. When he said that I noticed a giant ring on his finger. I asked if that was a Super Bowl ring? He said it was from the first Super Bowl 50 yeas ago. When I asked him his name he said Donny Anderson. Now most of you young bucks won't recognize the name. Us old farts that follow the NFL or you Packer fans will know the name. He played for the Packers and Cardinals. I told him I watched him play for the Cardinals. He was a pretty good RB and also a left footed punter. Really nice guy. Following football he played golf on the celebrity tour for several years. Now he is semi retired but wrote a book and now runs a non profit to raise funds for students that can't afford to go to college. Google Winners For Life. We BS'd for about 30 minutes.
