In his first 2 years with the Bears, David Montgomery has rushed for 1959 yards, caught 79 passes for 623 yards, and scored 17 TD's.
IF he can stay healthy, play for 10 more years, and maintain the same level of production his numbers extrapolate to
almost 12,000 rush yds., 3700 receiving yards, and 102 TD's
There's a long time to go, and a lot of factors will have to go his way, but those numbers would place him in the company of guys like T. Dorsett, B. Sanders, T. Barber, T. Thomas, M. Allen, H. Walker. And he'd be nipping at the heels of the 4-5 best RB's of all-time. He's always seemed like much more of a team-first guy, so I wonder how much he is motivated by the potential to achieve those personal accomplishments? Even if he's not particularly concerned, it's exciting to witness a former Cyclone getting off to such a great NFL start.
