I just talked to a guy here at work that has reffed a ton of high school, D-III and Juco basketball games over the years. He mentioned he just got assigned to his first D-II games later on this season, which is cool for him.
I asked him when I can expect him as a ref for an Iowa St game and he said he couldn't since he's an ISU alum.
Is there a rule where you can't ref in a game involving the school(s) you graduated from? Honestly, I don't think that's a bad idea, but thought it was interesting.
