Frankly, I had blocked the details of last year from my conscientiousness. Emotional trauma, I suppose. But I went through the cames and it was stark. We should have won 3 games we lost. Kansas, Kansas State, and Texas Tech. We easily could have won Texas and OSU.
Field goal kicking could have won us 3 games. Catching wide open passes could have won 2 games. Turnovers cost us 2 games. Not to mention penalties. [There is some overlap.] This should have been a 6-7 win team at a minimum, and an 8 win team if details were actually paid attention to. Even with a FCS level offensive line performance.
I don't know if I feel better or worse thinking about this.
