I believe this team is about to go on a run that will make up for some of the tough losses the Cyclones have had on the road in conference play this year. Iowa State is the better team-plain and simple. Everyone in the gym knows what WVU is going to do, and ISU has typically handled their press well due to Monte Morris and Georges Niang's ability to get up and down the floor with the ball in their hands. Burton and Nader are starting to buy in. Matt Thomas is playing on another level. #31 and #11 are all Americans. If we can get some hustle out of JM and he can keep Williams off the glass and avoid us having to play zone, we have enough horses to win again in Morgantown.
While I've been very critical of the way CSP has handled late game coaching on both sides of the floor, I do think he is going to get through to this team and tonight is the perfect chance to get a road win against a top 15 team. I also think this lines us up for a tie for 4th in the conference and another crack at WVU in Kansas City. Go Cyclones!!!
