The BBC reported the Iowa State was going to retire #22. Ken Miller bought it hook, line and sinker on his show today and gave big kudos to Jamie Pollard. I can't imagine the backlash Pollard would get from Cyclones fans if he did such a thing.
Personally I'm not in favor of retiring anyone's number. There's just too few numbers, time is hopefully hundreds and hundreds of years. You can't consume finite resources in a nearly infinite environment, when that environment doesn't replenish those resources.
