I guess its been a long day and fatigue has set in....

I suppose this is just frustration coming out (and I apologize for covering ground discussed over and over), but really, I truly think the discussion on expanded conferences should change to not declaring you are a true champion if you don't play everyone in your conference. I understand its all about $$$ anymore but you are not truly a conference champ if you haven't risen above ALL your competition.

Perfect example is EIU. Not that they are "championship" material. The big tin is just so weak.

You can declare yourself a "system champion" but you are not a true conference champ if you avoid playing your conference peers.

Is it too late to change the vernacular? Probably. Perhaps? IDK. But, I think the talking heads should say this with all regularity, just to be honest in their discussions.

Yes, I think our conference got the shaft last year.

Sure, I hold a romanticized view of how it used to be. And, if we expanded (UCF and USF would still be my targets), life would go on. Maybe we are at a time when it can never go back. There is a big part of me that hopes the money grab turns back on how its gone.

Thanks for reading. In the words of the great CyAg... "Carry on".

Paul, feel free to delete if this is a waste of bandwith.
