AMES, Iowa – Iowa State forward George Conditt IV will again don the jersey of Puerto Rico this summer as the country attempts to qualify for the 2021 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.

Conditt, who recently completed his junior season at ISU but still has two seasons of eligibility remaining, will practice with the Puerto Rican Men’s National Team from June 1-10 in Puerto Rico.

“It is an honor to be chosen to play on this team,” Conditt said. “The opportunity to represent not only myself, but to represent an entire country, is a great feeling.”

The team will then play practice games in Greece and Croatia before heading to Belgrade, Serbia for the Olympic Qualifying Tournament from June 29-July 4.

Puerto Rico will compete for one spot in the Olympics among five other teams: Dominican Republic, Italy, Philippines, Senegal and Serbia. Puerto Rico’s group will include Italy and Senegal, with the top two teams advancing to bracket play.

The 2021 Summer Olympic Games will be held July 23-28.
