He was obviously nervous but not overwhelmed in the press conference.... and who wouldn't be? The last ISU hire that was NOT was Chizik because he was an ego-maniac. CSP seemed to be humble yet confident.
My favorite part was when he mentioned that the team had already reached great heights with their offense, but that if they could improve defense and rebounding they would take it to the next step. Pretty much spot on.
I have always felt like Fred was an NBA coach that was coaching in college. Sort of an oval peg trying to fit in the round hole.... close but not quite. I think our recruiting has suffered because of his mentality of getting "free agents" versus a "start from scratch" freshman. Prohm is a college coach..... with proven recruiting and success at a much less prestigious program. I am excited to see what he can do.
