I was nervous all game last night that Cole's recent nemesis...giving up home run balls....would bite him in this game.
He pitched beautifully all game...until the bottom of the 7th when he put Pham on 1st. And then there it was, the drive to the right-field fence by Isbel that Soto had just enough room to catch. Whew....that was close and would have tied the game.
I was thinking all along that Boone should have pulled Cole before he pitched to Isbel.
