Two highly competitive games last night. Nixon vs. Jackson did not disappoint with each going for 46 or so. Jackson's team came out victorious again and move on to face Rasir Bolton and Leech-o next Sunday at 4:30. Jackson hit 11-22 3s.
Second game had Lewis/Johnson vs. Griffin/Solo. The Griffin/Solo pair combined for 90 points - with Solo having I think 46, 11 boards, 3 or 4 assists and drawing two charges. Johnson was unguardable much of the night and Lewis played well throughout - and with high intensity. The Lewis/Johnson team came away with the win and move on to play Jacobson/Grill Sunday at 5:45. The finals will follow that game at around 7:15. All games at Valley High School.
Dunk contest was a Bolton vs. Griffin final with Bolton getting the victory. Such an explosive athlete. Grill and Jackson made the finals of the 3 point contest before ultimately falling to Jackson's teammate - Okay Djamgouz (O-KY Jam-GOOZ), a 17 year old Canadian freshman at Drake - in the final round.
