Can the three really be defended?

I have said very little here the past week or so. I guess you can say I was in mourning due to our close BB losses lately.

I have been thinking this thought for a while now: Can the three point shot really be defended? I'm beginning to feel that if a team is unexpectedly hot from the beyond the 3, there is very little the opponent can do to stop them. How many three attempts do you see blocked? Exactly! Hardly any. It sure seems that ISU has been a victim of the opponents (shooting way above their average and some at crucial times) 3 point barrage. I don't think we, or any other team can do much about this if the opponent keeps draining them from three. What do you guys think about this?
