Let's face it. If the conference does expand, there aren't any schools close by geographically that bring much to the table. That's ok. Our TV model supports a conference that isn't geographically connected (no TV network). BYU and UConn are easily the two best options available, both from an athletic success and TV value standpoint. Why not add another foothold out east and a following in the west?
East - West
Oklahoma - Texas
Oklahoma State - Texas Tech
TCU - Baylor
Iowa State - Kansas
UConn - Kansas State
West Virginia - BYU
Each team has a permanent rival in the other division and cycles through the other teams. Eight or nine conference games. Why not?
