Here's an update following the Monday games. With each game, it gets simpler.
If ISU holds onto the #2 or #3 seed, the first opponent will be from one of the teams currently in the lower half of the standings (TCU, KSU, TTU, UT or OU). One of WVU or BU will be on the same side of the bracket, but the other along with KU and OSU will not. The ISU game will be in the Thursday night session which starts with the #2 seed playing at 6:00 pm followed by the #3 seed at approximately 8:00 pm.
- ISU gets the #2 seed by beating WVU. It doesn't matter whether we beat OSU or not.
- ISU gets the #3 seed with a win over OSU followed by a loss to WVU, and UT must beat BU.
- ISU could also get the #3 seed losing to both OSU and WVU, if UT beats Baylor and KU beats OSU.
- ISU gets the #4 seed with a win over OSU and a loss to WVU, if BU beats UT.
- ISU could also get the #4 seed losing to both OSU and WVU, if UT beats BU and OSU beats KU, or if BU beats UT and KU beats OSU.
- ISU gets the #5 seed if ISU loses to both OSU and WVU, BU beats UT, and OSU beats KU.
