I'm a big follower of the BCMoore computer rankings. He is a guy from Gilbert that has Sagarin like ratings, and probably more known for rating Iowa High School football. And it is pretty darn accurate after you get about 5 games into a season.
But he also rates college football. Interesting stuff after Saturday's games. Here's his computer's take on our college football world.
ISU is now ranked #33 in the country (Iowa is #31). We are #7 in the Big 12 (14)
ISU is now favored in its next 3 games by 14, 3, and 4 points. And are now 17 and 10 point dogs to Texass and KSU respectively.
ISU underperformed by 11, 9, 10, 2 and 2 in its first 5 games, and overperformed by 15 and 17 points in its last 2 games. To that, the last 2 games, ISU has performed at a level of the #8 team in the country. That is the stat that really catches my eye.
Of course, computers don't play games, but good stuff none the less. HERE is the link, if you want to dig in more.
