I found myself listening to a podcast, something that to me is usually akin to jabbing a stick in my eye, but the title of this one was intriguing to me, so I listened for as long as I could stand it.
So here is what I gleaned from this podcast on how basketball practice has been going.
* Tamin Lipsey has been working hard on his 3-point shot and has improved it tremendously.
* Hasan Ward has put on some muscle and is unrecognizable from last year. His play has been night and day over what it was last year. The players all look up to him, as I understand it.
* Tre King is also improved and looking dominant.
* Keshon Gilbert was the hardest working player in the Mountain West last year and won't let anyone outwork him. His defense is lights out and he ratchets up the intensity for the whole squad during practice.
* The overall talent of the squad has taken a giant leap forward and all three of the transfers are going to see significant playing time. Robert Jones may see less playing time.
If all this is true, that's 4/5ths of your starting lineup, leaving one spot left, I assume for Biliew. I still don't see how you can leave Momcilovic on the bench after what CTJO said about his defense being a surprise in his last media conference. I'm glad it's not my problem to solve.
