Assuming we beat Kansas, we'll be 2-2.
A month ago, how many of you figured 3-1 was a reasonable best-case scenario to start the season? Yes, there were some Kookaid drinkers on here (me included) that flirted with the idea of starting 4-0, but I think most on here would admit a 3-1 start would have been a "good" and "promising" start.
The point: Beating Kansas would mean we're only ONE game behind the 3-1 start scenario. Despite our massive frustration in the Toledo game and many of us understandably going on suicide watch Saturday night, we're seeing the obvious improvement on defense and offense. IF the coaches and players iron out the stupid mistakes and get things gelling a little more against Kansas, I think it's entirely possible we steal at least one more game in the Big 12 that we might have otherwise just assumed was a sure loss...ie Okie State, K-State, etc. Maybe we capitalize on TCU's defensive woes and steal one from them in Ames - a long shot, but crazier things have happened.
Thoughts?
