IF we play like we did tonight and the second half against Texas Tech, we COULD have ourselves a nice winning streak in front of us. Yes, KU and WVU come to town and no game is easy in the league no matter who it is, but we have played (in my opinion) two of the top 5 teams in the league and are 1-1 and so close to being 2-0. The next eight games (Texas, at OSU, at TCU, KU, at OU, KSU, at Vandy, WVU) are all winnable if we bring the defensive intensity we can.
I am not saying we go 8-0...but it won't shock me if we do. Something like 6-2 would be fantastic, sitting at 15-6 and 7-3 in the league.
I wasn't expecting a win tonight and the way we played down the stretch, and free throws, and missed layups, are hair pull worthy, but it was ours for the taking. Part of me wishes we got a three off instead of that last shot because I wasn't thrilled at the thought of overtime against them. Oh well.
Bring on the Horns! I'll be making the trip down for the game this weekend!
P.S. How about the fact we had only FIVE turnovers tonight. Impressive.
