Things have been pretty quiet, at least on the message boards. I did run across an article on another site that was talking about penalties being pretty severe, including loss of future eligibility if an athlete bets on any game involving his school in any sport.
It also talked about punishments of increasing degrees if betting on other teams (not from your College or University). It was based on the amount wagered. They sited a Va Tech LB who bet $500 total in a series of bets on pro sports and received a 6 game suspension. I would link it but not sure how. It is on the Squawk rivals free football board. Surprisingly civil discussion on that particular thread.
