I am not trying to slam Fred or any of the players he has brought in. I am not saying that he hasn't done a GREAT job here. But when I look at where will be after next year (2015-16) I am not overly impressed with the program that he has built. He has relied a LOT on "troubled" players and jucos transferring in to be successful. Not to mention that a couple of them were IHCC transfers that ISU stood a good chance of getting regardless.
Who has he really recruited? Obviously Morris and Niang, but after that first wave of players it hasn't been GREAT recruiting.... definitely no really good true freshman coming each year to build a program around. After 2015-16 it looks like the cupboard is pretty bare to me.
