We score with 1:58 to play in the first half to take a lead. We kick off and Hawks start deep in their own territory.

I remarked to Mrs. LC (and texted a Hawk fan friend) that if history is any guide, we will somehow manage to give up a cheap score. The last three years it's been true about half the time. And damned if it wouldn't have happened this time if Ferentz hadn't gone totally brain dead.

WTH is the deal, anyway? I'm pretty sure that last year we did the research and found ISU giving up points in the final minutes of a half more often than not. And if we have just scored, it's practically guaranteed.
