So I was kicking around the idea of taking the train to Las Vegas for the UNLV game, just because I think it would be a fun trip and cheaper than airfare and it would take me back to my childhood when we road the rails frequently. Only problem is the only train I could find at my closest station was leaving Sept. 7. That's 11 days before the game. Now I'm all for spending some time in Las Vegas, but that's too long, and would probably be more expensive in hotel and food costs than just flying there. I don't know. I still might schedule an Amtrak trip this summer or fall, but I guess it won't be to Las Vegas.
