We've got three official visitors confirmed for Iowa State this weekend and I'm working to compile a list of notable unofficials that are booked for the Saturday basketball game. Here is the list of three with some notables about each. Per usual, this list is subject to additions and subtractions as we gather more info.

Justin Birdsong, 5-11, 175, CB, Stone Mountain (Ga.) Stephenson HS

Iowa State is still in the hunt for one more defensive back in this class, and it will likely be of the safety variety as 2018 commit Josh Madison's academic status is still up in the air. The three-star Birdsong took his recruitment slow, even though he had a nice list of decent P5 offers (Duke, Illinois, Kansas, Kansas State and Minnesota). With many of those schools likely filling up during the initial signing period, the Cyclones are in good shape here. Birdsong visited Georgia Southern last weekend.

Tayvonn Kyle, 6-0, 165, WR, Valdosta (Ga.) Lowndes HS

Kyle's official visited has now been moved up to this weekend, as the coaching staff looks for one more wide receiver prospect in the 2018 Class. The three-star Kyle also has Cincinnati, Illinois and Purdue in the running, but it's unclear on his status with the Fighting Illini as he isn't visiting there this weekend. The Cyclones used to do a lot of recruiting in the Valdosta area, but haven't been there for a while.

Brock Purdy, 6-1, 197, QB, Gilbert (Ariz.) Perry HS

The Gatorade player of the year in Arizona, Purdy heads to Iowa State this weekend with his recruitment as hot as its ever been. The three-star prospect picked up an Alabama offer earlier this week and also has had LSU sniffing around. After his I-State visit, he's ticketed for Tuscaloosa next weekend. Purdy will have to choose the best quarterback situation for him - ISU as the second player at his position in this class joining a group that includes Zeb Noland and perhaps Kyle Kempt or Alabama as a possible long-term understudy to Jalen Hurts and Tua Tagovailoa. Purdy has also has a P5 offer from Kansas and visited Boise State last weekend.
