I don't have to file a tax return this year. I was fearful I might because I took a charge against my retirement fund and I also got some interest from a savings account, but together it didn't reach the $14,200 threshold of money I'm allowed to earn after Social Security to warrant having to file for taxes. I will, however, have to file taxes next year because I've already taken a much larger charge against my retirement this year. Luckily, I'll be due a tax refund on that filing because I had them withhold enough taxes to more than satisfy the IRS.
