I want to preface this by saying that I'm not at all downplaying the danger of lightning, hail, etc.
But, when it's obvious that a storm has cleared out, the skies have become sunny, weather has moved off to the east...can't some common sense be used to get the the teams back out there?
I know at one point some NCAA sub, sub committee came up with the 30 minute rule (which turns into at least 45 minutes with warm-ups), but why can't a professional meteorologist be consulted to make a "ruling" that the threat of storms are over?
