I understand many like to play the season out before it happens. Such is pre-season. However, being the "old school" guy I am, I see the "only" game on our schedule is UNI as it is the "next" game on our schedule. You simply never know what a season will brings until it comes.

As I see it they had 300 yds/game with opponents in the same ball park.
Now, like most/all of us here, I am expecting we will come out and pee-pound them on form alone. However, I would be shocked if this team doesn't come out extremely motivated (in a workman-like fashion) and give them an @$$-whooping like they deserve. Having seen the pic of "The Beast" taking that handoff, my first thought was I would hate to be the DB that saw that coming at me. That might be the moment a blade of grass would catch my cleat and trip me😂🤣😂
Farley would like nothing better than to make a game of it. It has always been his cause-celeb. I would like nothing better than to annihilate them early and often. I'd love to see us win the toss, take the ball and march down the field in (assuming we don't take the kick to the house) something like a 5-play drive. Boom up 7-0 in a couple of minutes. Then three & out for the D followed by another 5-play drive. Boom 14-0 with 9:37 left in the 1st qtr. Repeat for four qtrs. (rotating in our depth - breaking their spirit early and often). I never expect them to come in and lay down. But I do expect us to clearly show them there IS a difference.
CMC would be be giving me a talking too about getting to emotional with my expectations for sure. I would like to see some cogent analysis from folks. I just don't see where they saw anything like us last year -- not even close. I just don't see where our quality and depth is something they can handle. Color me expecting Cardinal and Gold sunshine September 4, 2021! Can't wait!
