Nice group, but dont know how nice due to Oline issues and questions on commitment to the running game.
1. Breece Hall - Sophomore - Appears to have most of what you want from a feature RB - could read the hole a bit better - not take your breath away speed, but plenty good - seemed to pick up pass pro pretty well. Great future as he develops.
2. Johny Lang - RS Junior - solid backup, but not a feature back, imo - can give 8-12 quality touches a game.
3 Jirehl Brock - RS Freshman - He has a lot of potential. If Hall got hurt, my gut tells me he is number 1, which means he might ascend to #2 with Lang being a specialty back. Could be more than a solid backup.
4. Kene Nwangwu - RS Senior - Little voice in my head tells me he may not be here. Speed is thing and it wasn't used or schemed for. Not a natural RB, imo. Transfer portal? Switch to track entirely? Didn't like his body language the last few games.
Lost our only RB commit. So we are down 1 from the number of running backs you would like.
Next - wide receivers.
