Chicago-based three-star defensive tackle Amir Watts landed an offer from Iowa State earlier this week and he tells me it's one that could cause him to switch around his visit schedule before National Signing Day.
Watts, who's competing at the Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl, has set trips to Indiana (Jan. 15), Pittsburgh (Jan. 22) and Nebraska (Jan. 29), and has already visited Minnesota.
But Watts had a relationship with Matt Campbell and Eli Rasheed at Toledo, and that comfort level has definitely sparked his interest in the Cyclones. He told me they are a big reason why he's now thinking of visiting Ames, so it's certainly a situation to monitor over the next couple weeks.
