Seneca and Wingstop

As you may know, Seneca Wallace is (was?) the Iowa franchise holder for Wingstop. So anyway, was just in the Ames location of Wingstop for a late lunch with my co-worker. While we were eating, employees were taking down the Seneca jerseys and memorabilia from the walls. We asked them what was going on. The guy told us Seneca sold, and he wanted to get his jerseys and stuff back. We didn't find out if it was all Iowa locations, or just Ames.

But anyway, breaking news! My buddy tried making an offer on the Wallace Packers jersey, but no sale.

Seeing all the stuff come down reminded me of this scene in Animal House.

Let’s Pack the Jack Saturday

We have 10 tickets in Section E in our group. As of this morning, we only had four people going to the game due to the cold and holiday weekend. After some calls and texting, we are now up to eight for sure with 10 likely.

With everything on the table for this team, let’s all work to use those tickets to support our guys on senior day.

BASKETBALL ***RELEASE: Hare to Miss Remainder of Season***

Iowa State Media Relations

AMES, Iowa – Iowa State women’s basketball guard Kenzie Hare will miss the remainder of the season, Iowa State announced Wednesday night. Hare has struggled with an ongoing hip injury and after exhausting conservative treatment options, has decided to medically redshirt this season.

“Kenzie has made an amazing impact from day one!” said head coach Bill Fennelly. “I am disappointed for her and our team, but this is the best thing for Kenzie. I know she will come back better than ever and have a huge impact on our team.”

“Due to an ongoing hip injury, we have decided it's best for me and the team that I redshirt this year,” said Hare. “I look forward to supporting my teammates the remainder of this season and for my next two seasons as a Cyclone!”

A junior from Bartlett, Illinois, Hare appeared in all 10 games for the Cyclones while making eight starts. She averaged 8.3 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game as Iowa State’s third leading scorer.

No. 18 Iowa State takes on No. 21 Iowa in Iowa City for the annual Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series game. Tip-off is at 8 p.m. and the game will be televised on FS1.
