Three 2017 recruiting prospects have texted me that they are officially visiting Iowa State this weekend. That might comprise the entire roster of officials; still working on some other possibles before saying it will be only three.
Those who have told me they are coming for official visits are:
Thayer Munford, OL, Massillon (Ohio) Washington
Very impressive offer list that includes Alabama. Tennessee, Penn State and many more
Shanon Reid, LB, Fort Myers (Fla.) Dunbar
Again, very impressive offer list - Clemson, Fla. State, Michigan and many others
Datrone Young, CB, Delray Beach (Fla.) Atlantic
Two-star prospect; told us long ago that Iowa State was his favorite - probably still true
A couple of intended unofficial visitors of note as of today - and this list will likely grow - are:
Anthony McKinney, OL, Iowa Western CC - 2018
Braden Foster, OL, Mundelein (Ill.) - 2018, Sean Foster's brother
Joey Ramos, OL, Glendale (Ariz.) - Bill reported visit cpl of weeks ago; just confirmed
John Schmidt, ATH, Sartell (Minn.) - 2018
It's only Wednesday; a lot can change in terms of weekend visitors by the time Friday and Saturday roll around.
