The Tigers are a completely different team than they were just a year ago.

Last season they had very good offensive players- Cameron Thomas, 23.0 ppg, Trendon Watford, 16.3, Javonte Smart, 16.0
and Darius Days, 11.6.

This season, LSU does not have that stable of scorers. It's Tari Eason, 16.9, Days, 13.7, Brandon Murray, 10.1, Xavier Pinson, 10.1

They do their best work when they get steals and get downhill quickly to score.

Pinson missed a lot of time with a knee injury. They weren't the same with him out.

Eric Gaines is at the point when Pinson isn't. He's the kind of player who can make unbelievable plays, and also stupid turnovers.

Days is their best 3 point shooter. Likes to shoot from the wings. Also their best rebounder.

They have a bunch of Top 100 guys on their roster. They have been waiting on the development of 6-11 Efton Reid, who gets 6.3 with 4
rebounds. But has the build where it looks like he should do more. Doesn't post up much. Needs to learn that.

LSU isn't as good when they are guarded well. Their halfcourt game isn't the same as last season, when they had guys to get their own shots.

ISU will have to take care of the ball. Don't give the Tigers an open court on the break.

Will Wade, who was just fired, also missed their 2019 NCAA Tournament while being suspended.

A side note from the SEC- Very quickly and quietly Georgia hired Mike White from rival Florida. I don't remember one like that in a while.

Edit- Another SEC note- Frank Martin has been fired after 10 seasons at South Carolina.

The regime is different now at K-State (no John Currie), if Martin wanted to double back to Manhattan.
