SO.....
We sit at #17. For the sake of argument, let's say we can beat Jackson State tomorrow. We'd be 10-0 and with the "style points" win over Iowa and it's not a question of "if" we move up, but how far.
Some key games today (and earlier this week) from teams ahead of us:
#16 USC already won this week, and plays LBSU tomorrow. But we COULD jump them...our resume is MUCH stronger. But not a given.
#15 UConn already lost this week to WVU. We will pass them for sure.
#14 Houston is @ #9 Alabama tonight. Certainly they could lose.
#13 Tennessee already lost this week to Texas Tech.
#12 Arkansas is at Oklahoma as we speak and getting spanked by OU by 13 in the first half. They could lose.
#11 Arizona is at Illinois later today. Go Illini. Arizona could lose that game.
#10 Kentucky is at Notre Dame later today. Tough road game. Will be interesting.
Just putting this all in one spot.
My point? Could be moving day for our Cyclones. Lots of upside potential with our ranking this week with what has happened, and what is going in today.
P.S. - Creighton took out #24 BYU today. That Creighton win is starting to look very nice.
